Typical for the Vienna wine region are highly diverging sites within a small area. Winery Wieninger cultivates vineyards on the north and south bank of the Danube.
Bisamberg, the site on the north bank of the river, offers light, sandy loess, around 20% less rain and more sun and wind. The terroir creates fresh, light, fruity wines and is perfect for reds and Chardonnay.
Nussberg in contrast, on the south bank of the Danube, offers calciferous soil, which has excellent effects on the wine quality, letting them grow expressive with a mineral touch. Making it ideal for Riesling, Grünen Veltliner and Traminer.
